(SMS) Time, the Valuator - Vibrant

[Intro]

Rise and shine
From a blighted state of mind
Shaped by obsolete regrets
A scenery unfolds

[Verse 1]

All you can see is just a faded saturation
In a city full of vibrant colors
A mindless sight in black and white
Let it illuminate
I am fading into concrete
With time invalidated
It devours the flame
That keeps me from turning soulless, mindless

[Chorus]

I am alive
With every breath I take, I regain energy
I am floating and this
Gravity won't pull me back
I am alive
And I feel it in my blood
So I am baring my bones
In newfound certainty

[Verse 2]

I have to redefine myself
I have to redefine

[Chorus]

[Bridge]

I am fading into concrete
With time invalidated, invalidated

[Outro]

I am not soulless, mindless
Soulless, mindless
I had to redefine myself
With every step I take
I find my way back home

Have you ever felt you are alive just to fill an empty space? Have you ever felt your wish for living faded away? You are not the only one and, gladly, because many felt the same way and overcame, there are many to help you through these dark days. Help can come from Psychology/Psychiatric professionals, songs like this I'm writing about or that one from Bloodywood I've already written about before. And I can't go through this without mentioning close friends who walk along helping in every time of need.

I know life isn't easy and we can get disappointed even with a trustable one betraying our feelings. Since the moment the first man and woman brought the sin to Earth, people hurt each other. Some might say derogatory words about who we are, or behave in an evil way towards us. Even Jesus didn't escape from treason.

When we experience this, there's a chance of falling into depression. Depression is a disorder that affects our state of mind which keeps on putting us down and giving space to negative thoughts, fading out all vibrant colours of life. Life isn't meant to be lived that way. Life is the sign of energy, certainty of a different future and hope.

Depression and mean people may say you're soulless and/or mindless, but who do you say who you are? What does God say about who you are?

The Bible shows some interesting points of what God says about us. I can name: God's work (Genesis 1:27), created in a special way (Psalms 139:14), loved by God (1 John 4:10), known by God (Psalms 139:1-3), created with a purpose (Jeremiah 29:11), unique and complex (Ephesians 2:10)... and many other qualities.

Getting out of depression takes effort and demands slow steps. It isn't something that disappears at the snap of a finger, it's gradual. Expose yourself to life. Don't let this negative gravity pull you down. It's time to redefine and let God change your heart and heal your soul!
